Entrepreneurship education seeks to prepare students to be responsible, enterprising individuals who become entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial thinkers and who contribute to economic development and sustainable communities. Entrepreneurship education introduces students to the rewards and risks of owning or operating a business enterprise. It includes instruction in planning, organizing, managing, and financing a small business.
Articulated credit is earned as a result of a student's completion of a CTE course and meeting the the following qualifications:
Additionally, students must enroll in a NC community college within two years of high school graduation and meet the following criteria:
Community college officials must verify eligibility of the courses listed on the submitted high school transcript to receive articulated credit. Students may be asked to submit additional supporting documentation or demonstration to receive credit. Colleges must follow the criteria of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in awarding credit.

Entrepreneurial Expedition™ is a youth entrepreneurship curriculum designed to teach students to think entrepreneurially about business and life. Using case studies, interactive business simulations and personal development activities, this course teaches important basic business skills.
This student entrepreneurship program isn’t just about teaching kids business terminology. Students develop a personalized plan for their individual business, including financing, marketing, team-building, and market research, along with a roadmap for academic and career success.
