The Accounting Pathway is designed for students interested in expanding their understanding and skills related to accounting and financial management. Students will have the opportunity to study and apply fundamental accounting principles in a variety of business settings. In addition, students will learn how to use current accounting software.
Articulated credit is earned as a result of a student's completion of a CTE course and meeting the the following qualifications:
Additionally, students must enroll in a NC community college within two years of high school graduation and meet the following criteria:
Community college officials must verify eligibility of the courses listed on the submitted high school transcript to receive articulated credit. Students may be asked to submit additional supporting documentation or demonstration to receive credit. Colleges must follow the criteria of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in awarding credit.

Students can validate their QuickBooks knowledge by becoming an Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU). QuickBooks Certified User exam vouchers will now include access to both the QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online tests so candidates can demonstrate their skills in whatever version of QuickBooks they prefer.
