Parents at Forest Hills High School Recognize Three CTE Teachers
- FHHS Administrators recently acknowledged Forest Hills High School CTE Health Science Teacher, Pam Lanier, for a “Parent Shoutout.”
A parent submitted that their student really enjoys Health Science class with Ms. Lanier and that their student “has learned a lot about the human body and finds it very interesting.” The parent added, “I’m sure going from an ER Nurse to classroom teacher has been a big change, but it brings a realness to the material being taught…and learned. Great job!”
Lanier actually started the Health Science program at Forest Hills over 18 years ago. She continues to motivate students to become exceptional health care professionals. “I like helping kids figure out what they want to do with their futures. Problem-solving – you know, triage.”
Lanier brings extensive experience to her classroom as a former Registered Nurse in ICU, ER and Home Healthcare.
- FHHS Administrators recently acknowledged Forest Hills High School CTE Automotive Teacher, Rocky Mills Jr., for a “Parent Shoutout.”
A family wanted to recognize Mr. Mills for working to make a difference in their student’s enthusiasm to learn. “Mr. Mills inspires (student) to enjoy working with his hands and learning a trade and that (student) is so excited to come to school and participate in his class.”
The family is very appreciative and added, “Thank you so much!!! I am so proud (student) is at Forest Hills High School and has Mr. Mills as a teacher.”
Mills brings to his classroom over 17 years experience in the Automotive industry with everything he says from sweeping floors to management to ownership! Ask Mr. Mills and he will tell you that “I don’t like this job…I LOVE this job. It has always been my plan to pass on my knowledge to the next generation of technicians. Mills started with FHHS in 2019 and is in the final stage of completing his teaching certificate.
- FHHS Administrators acknowledged Forest Hills High School CTE Business Teacher, Morgan Brown, for their Beginning Teacher Spotlight.
At a recent faculty gathering, Administrators announced that “students and parents commend Ms. Brown for her regular communication. Students love having Ms. Brown as a teacher because she really knows how to break the material down so students can understand it.”
Assistant Principal, Courtney Lisk, added, “On top of her efforts in the classroom she is also helping outside of the classroom with girl’s basketball.”
In May, Miss Brown will complete her licensure courses. Brown says, “I have learned many gems to apply to my classroom. This is my second year at Forest Hills and I love the atmosphere here!”
