The Union County JobReady Partnership is excited to announce the opening of applications for the New Century Scholars Program. New Century Scholarships are available for students who plan to attend South Piedmont Community College and work toward an Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or Non-Credit (Continuing Education) program. Scholarship recipients will receive up to four semesters of tuition at the in-state rate for Associates Degree programs to be completed within three years, starting from the fall semester immediately following the student’s high school graduation. Students enrolling in Diploma or non-credit programs (Continuing Education) can receive awards to cover the SPCC registration fee necessary to complete a continuing education program of interest. The continuing education program should be designated to earn a certificate and prepare a student for employment. Please note that the scholarship only pays for tuition. No fees can be paid using the New Century Scholarship.

The application for 2023-2024 will close on April 1, 2024. Only students graduating from a traditional high school in Union County Public Schools are eligible to apply.
