FHHS Automotive Program Continues to Grow Through Initiative with the Community Shelter of Union County

Forest Hills High School has proven their dedication to their automotive repair program which started in the 2015/2016 with educator William Books.  A new auto repair teaching facility was completed at the end of 2016 and as of the 2019-2020 school year added a second auto repair educator Rocky Mills.

The UCPS Forest Hills High School’s automotive repair classes through CTE has partnered with the Community Shelter of Union County to assist individuals and families through referrals to obtain detailed auto repair quotes and quality auto repairs with up to date tools and equipment that compare to a private or commercial auto repair shop.

This partnership will help the customers referred to the auto repair program and also allow the Forest Hill students to obtain much desired hands on instruction on a variety of vehicles with various repair issues relative to real world situations.  The student will be learning how to use and operate the tools and equipment necessary to complete these tasks.

Forest Hills High values their partnership with the Community Shelter of Union County and looks forward to helping the citizens of Union County.
