Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship
Program Overview
- Students will take the following courses:
- PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design OR PLTW Principles of Engineering
- PLTW Digital Electronics OR PLTW Computer Integrated Manufacturing OR PLTW Civil Engineering and Architecture OR PLTW Aerospace Engineering
Program Qualifications
- Students must be eligible to take the courses outlined in the program overview
- Current GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Students must complete the UCPS pre-apprenticeship application (must be 16 or older to register)
More Information
The program provides:
- a potential opportunity to be selected for a registered apprenticeship program in partnership with South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) or other industry partners
- hands-on training to develop technical skills
