@CuthbertsonHSNC Students Had A Great Week at DECA’s State Career Development Conference (State Competition)
Over 5000 kids at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, and CHS members certainly more than held their own!
Out of the 82 students that attended, CHS accounted for:
- 2 – 1st Place Winners (Nicholas Carelli and Srujan Ponnapalli)
- 1 – 3rd Place Winner (Grady Crumpler)
- 1 – 4th Place Winner (Lisa Kruger)
- 3 – 5th Place Team Winners (Asmi Godbole and Sara Shah – Team; Laila Shaqqo – Individual)
- 3 – 6th Place Winners (Violet Sarkis – Individual; Dhruva Kritam and Jared Risher – Team)
(All of the above qualify for the International Competition in late April in Anaheim, CA)
- 3 – 7th Place Winners (Carlton Kimani and Ryan Brown – Team; Amanda Nesbitt – Individual)
- 1 – 8th Place Winner (Lobar Jumanazarova)
- 1 – 9th Place Winner (Snigdha Kavuri)
- 2 – 10 Place Winners (Daniel Mejia and Daniel Allen – Team)
CHS also had the following Medalists: Thad Wilkin, Ethan Fink, Haven Hull, Reina Rached, Carmen Cielinski, and Rowan McGuire.
All of these AND two teams of three that qualified for the International in the DECA Virtual Business Challenge this past October and January – Hotel (Round 1 Team – Srujan Ponnapalli, Sai Nelluri, and Snigdha Kavuri / Round 2 Team – Bryson Kohlbrenner, Lisa Kruger, and Haven Hull)!
