Congratulations to @CuthbertsonHSNC DECA Students Qualifying for National Competition
Cuthbertson High School is very pleased to have not 1, but 2 teams that qualified in the 1st and 2nd Rounds of the DECA DECA Knowledge Matters Hotel Virtual Business Competition in Anaheim, CA in late April!
The team of Bryson Kohlbrenner, Lisa Kruger, and Haven Hull qualified in the 2nd Round of the International Competition in January to be one of the 16 international teams to compete at the DECA Knowledge Matters Hotel Virtual Business Challenge in Anaheim, CA in late April.
They will join Srujan Ponnapalli, Sai Nelluri, and Snigdha Kavuri who were another team from CHS that qualified in the 1st Round held back in October.
This 2nd Round team came in 1st in the Southeast Region, where only 2 teams make it out of 4 teams in that geographic location, and 2nd out of 306 teams from the US and Canada in the 2nd Round of the competition held in January.
Our 1st Round team came in 1st in the Southeast Region (and 3rd in the International out of 450 teams from the US and Canada)!
Both of our CHS DECA teams will compete for a grand prize of $6000. This competition is sponsored by the Marriott Corporation and will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center during the DECA International Career Development Conference from April 27th through April 30th.
