Congratulations to CTE Teacher of the Year Finalist Tyler Michael from Parkwood High
After graduating from Parkwood High School, Tyler Michael returned to teach Health Science classes. Her path to teaching was not direct. She graduated from UNCC with a degree in nursing and worked as a nurse in multiple capacities before accepting a position as a Health Science teacher. This year she became a National Board Certified teacher while in grad school for a master’s degree in nursing education. She has a passion for teaching, preparing, and encouraging children no matter what their future plans entail. Teaching CTE here in UCPS gives her the perfect opportunity to do just that in a setting that feels like home.
