CHS DECA Has Fantastic Showing at this Year’s NC DECA State Competition!
Even amid this crazy, unprecedented year, and having to have a virtual competition, our CHS DECA club had a fantastic showing at this year’s NC DECA State Competition!
We had 15 kids who competed, virtually, and out of those 15, 7(!) were Finalists (medalists), with one 10th place, a team of 2 in 7th place, and for the 4th consecutive year, at least 1 club member in the Top 5 (a team of 2 for 2nd Place this year) and automatically qualified for the International Competition (virtual this year) in Anaheim, CA!
We are so grateful that we got to have competitions this year. Hoping things get back to normal next year and that we can travel to compete in Concord (Regional), Greensboro (State) and Atlanta, GA (International) next year.

10th Place – Max Roberts – Personal Financial Literacy
7th Place – Camille Hernandez and Saif Jaffry – Marketing Management Team Decision
2nd Place:
Praneel Kamaiah and Abhishek Suresh – Business Services Team Decision
(Praneel has been a Top 5 Winner in this category for the past 3 years, which is an amazing accomplishment!)
Now, on to ICDC and hoping for more success for our club!
