CATA Collision Repair Students Paint Toolboxes for Hendricks Dealerships

Custom blue NAPA Auto Parts toolbox painted with the number 9 and logos for Hendrick Motorsports and Central Academy of Technology and Arts, designed by Collision Repair students. The toolbox is displayed in a classroom filled with automotive photos and posters.

Recently, NAPA donated the 24 tool boxes that were red, and also donated materials. They needed them painted NAPA blue with the NAPA decal on the front, and labeled 1-24 on the inside. CATA Collision repair classes decided instead of 1-24, we would number them 1-22 and make the race drivers numbers of 4 of them different. So the race car drivers numbers for Hendrick is 5,9,24,48. The students scuffed them up, painted them, made the decals, and installed them.

The purpose for these boxes are to use in one of Hendricks dealerships. They have a robot, that will take these boxes full of parts to the correct technician working on customers vehicles. This is a prototype that CATA students are fortunate to be a part of, and maybe they will get to do more for the other dealerships in the future!
