Aerospace 2 Students Learn about Structural Analysis
The Honors Aerospace 2 students from Marvin Ridge, Cuthbertson, Weddington, Porter Ridge, and Sun Valley high schools learned about stress analysis on materials. The project deepen students’ understanding of material science by focusing on structural testing. In this project, students assume the role of Structural Analysts. They perform several structural tests to learn about types of structural tests, the procedure for testing, how to perform structural data analysis, and how to recommend a material selection for a particular part, based on the testing.
