Please note: Campers must have their own transportation to and from camp daily. Free lunches will be provided to any student that needs one daily. Campers will be expected to be onsite by 9:00am daily and be picked up at 3:00pm in the car rider line of the school.  Please do not drop students off before 8:45am.

Please pay attention to the camp age level. High School camps are for current students in grades 9-12 in UCPS as of 2022-2023. Middle School camps are for current students in grades 6-8 in UCPS as of 2022-2023.

High School Advanced Automotive 

In this Summer Camp session, students will dive into the more advanced aspects of the automobile. We will cover things such as HVAC, OBDII Diagnostic, Brake Systems and Steering and suspension systems. We will also take fieldtrips to local Automotive shops and dealerships in order to show students real life examples of the skills learned in our Academy! We look forward to seeing you all at camp and sharing our knowledge of Automotive repair!



Course Prerequisites: Automotive Fundamentals,  Collision Repair Fundamentals, or Agricultural Mechanics II: Small Engines

High School Career Exploration

Choosing a career can be intimidating, especially in high school.  This week-long career exploration camp will explore a variety of occupations in a number of different pathways, including business, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, and various trade occupations.  Guest speakers will come visit the students and a number of on-site field trips will be taken as well.  The goal of this camp is to give students a “behind the scenes” look at these different careers so that they can be more informed when they select their CTE elective classes in the future.

Middle School Agriculture

The Agriculture Summer Camp will expose students to a B.A.G. (Biotechnology, Agriculture, and Garden) experience. Students will participate in hands-on activities and local field trips. We will have a foods day with a lab making food and lunch, and field trips touring a biotech company, farm, and garden.

Middle School Credit for Beginners

This summer camp will help students build core personal finance skills and learn real-world strategies to effectively manage their personal finances. Topics include decision making, budgeting, saving, consumer skills, preparing for high school and more.  There will be interactive games and arcade games to help promote these skills. It is never too early for kids to start learning about the importance of financial literacy. From learning the basics of saving to practicing managing a budget, financial literacy equips kids with the tools they need to thrive. Your child will learn about needs versus wants, budgeting, the difference between debit and credit cards, and the importance of maintaining a good credit score. We will also explore career opportunities to help guide them and promote the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Academies.

Middle School Culinary Arts

This year's Culinary Camp will focus on basic culinary techniques, baking and pastry, and international recipes. Students will discover flavors and prepare homemade recipes in a kitchen. Students will receive a copy of all the recipes prepared in camp.

Middle School Game Design

Have you ever wanted to make your own video game using current generation technology and software? At the game design camp, you will learn the basics of using Unreal Engine 5 to make your own game from preproduction to post. You will create your own level and learn how to export it to play on your own computer. Even though we only cover the basics here, we'll point you in the right direction if you want to take your learning to the next level after the camp is over and make your own fully developed indie games.

The Music Production career exploration camp experience will provide total immersion and hands-on production. Campers will utilize professional recording and editing software to create, mix, and produce their own hits. You will have full access to CATA’s state-of-the-art Mac lab and recording studio. No matter your skill level or experience, we will help you follow your musical dreams!

Middle School  Restuarant Entrepreneurship

In this camp, students will work together in small groups to create and promote a brand new restaurant. Throughout the week, student will be introduced to the concept of a target markets and the four P’s of Marketing. Students will be able to use technology resources to create menus, decide of restaurant themes and create promotional materials for their grand opening. At the end of the week, in true Food Network style, students will make their “signature dish” to be presented to the judges and a winner will be selected.

Middle School Robotics

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in the 2023 UCPS Career Technology Education Summer Accelerator Camp will focus on a method of learning called Project Based Learning. Project Based Learning incorporates all aspects of STEM, collaboration, creativity, and the design process to solve a real-world problem that students may encounter in a future career. STEM and Project Based Learning foster the 21st century skills that ready your child for the challenges they will inherit.
In the Robotics Summer Accelerator camps students will focus on various types of VEX Robotics builds and basic coding consisting of either Blocks, C++, or Python. Additionally, Students will explore how robotics is integrated into manufacturing by visiting local manufacturing facilities.
